The feasibility of unconventional feed for ruminants must be analyzed appropriate use as sources energy or protein that contribute to a sustainable production system addressing concerns about climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, and food security. objective this study was evaluate the nutritive value by-products including bean residue (BR), straw (BS), cassava bagasse (CB), corn (CS), orange (OB), peanut shell (PS), sugarcane (SB), soybean hull (SH), (SS). Chemical composition, in vitro degradability, fermentative parameters were subjected multivariate principal component analyses. Crude content highly variable among with BR SH presenting highest values (p < 0.001). These did not differ between SH, while lowest observed OB, PS, SB, SS, CS, CB. Neutral detergent fiber higher SS 0.001), greater degradability found CB, BR, BS, However, 0.001) total short-chain fatty acid concentration OB. Multivariate cluster analysis showed three distinct groups most degradable group 1 followed by 2. results demonstrate used impair fermentation, thus have potential diets improve sustainability livestock sector.
